Hope this isn't freenium, the pay or wait format is definitely less exciting :c I liked the pixel art and small icons of the first two generations of PMD games. The 3D models for Gates to Infinity removed that charming aspect from PMD. Hopefully this one has a better art style.

I don't think the legendaries have to have the same uniqueness in typing (we really only see this in BW.) Ho-oh = Fire-Flying firebird/phoenix done before with Moltres the generation before Lugia = Psychic-Flying done with Natu/Xatu that generation Groudon = mono-Ground Kyogre = mono-Water...

I've completed my pokedex in BW and want to be forced to recollect them. It is great to see my first pokemon from RS sitting in the box, but I have like 9 Kyogres and hordes of others and am ready to leave them for once.

I'm hoping that X/Y doesn't allow importing from other games (a fresh start!) and has all/most the previous pokemon as returning native Karos species. If the previous legendaries have to be squeezed in, they'd make some substantial post-game material. ( And Pancham the user had the ban coming)

I think that only a small amount of moves will get dual-type status. Things that come to mind: Muddy Water (currently a Surf-Mud Slap hybrid), Blaze Kick, etc. Someone also suggested elemental punches. I'd guess that the multipliers would stack (e.g. Water-grass move on Geodude would be 2*2*2*2...
