Slaying the Dark Dragon — Countering Charizard ex’s Dominance

When you look at it, lost tina is really the only other deck that can even compare to charizard in terms of stats and consistency in this format, but even it’s insane comfey engine can’t compete with pidgeot and bibarel charizard always seems to be able to stay consistent every single turn.

No Path, No Problem — Giratina Slaps in Post-Rotation

Funnily enough I actually like post rotation tina more because you don’t have to play the paths and can make it more consistent or teched out instead.

Roaring Moon ex Finally Enters the Tier 1 Club

While I was i initially hesitant about the deck due to its negative publicity, after testing and building it IRL I can say it definitely is tier one. almost 80% of the time you can hit the turn one OHKO on anything, something that literally no other deck can do. While it can run out of steam...

Iron Thorns, Flutter Mane Illustration Rares from “Wild Force” and “Cyber Judge”

Unfortunately these cards probably won’t see too much play, flutter mane’s ability and attack just isn’t quite good enough and tyranitar’s first attack is way to risky and inconsistent for a meta deck.

Reviving Sablezard — Still Viable With New Techs

Luckily though, most decks don’t play jirachi so you often don’t need to worry about it at all. With Iron hands, you just have to maintain a good prize trade, which can be hard to do because you have to take a big knockout almost every turn or set up to take two knockouts in one turn.

Walking Wake ex, Iron Leaves ex, and More Revealed from “Wild Force” and “Cyber Judge!”

I wonder if they’re gonna make a single prize roaring moon and iron treads. they should, it only makes sense. If they do I’m hyped for the roaring moon.

San Antonio Review and the Return of Pidgey Control

It is weird to see charizard making up such a large meta share, as it does have quite a lot of bad matchups with its low ability to tech for them. The thing about lugia was that it could tech for every other good deck in the format very easily. Charizard can’t do that, nor does it have a built...
