News Japan's December Sets: 'Ultra Sun' and 'Ultra Moon!'

Hey, it makes them more money so don't expect it to stop anytime soon. It appeals to maybe a more "mature" audience, being most of the Masters division in competitive play, and they're going to spend money to get playsets of full arts, which in turn gives Pokemon revenue. It's a company, after all.

News Japan's December Sets: 'Ultra Sun' and 'Ultra Moon!'

Guzma and Acerola say hello. It takes too much setup for a fairly bad attack, and is just more bulk. None of these cards are particularly good, really.

Underwhelming card, too luck based... But the art is a different story. might have a new favorite full art supporter

News New USUM Trailer: Team Rainbow Rocket, Battle Agency, Catch All Legendaries!

I can assume from the picture provided that after Lusamine had the whole Nihilego conundrum, the Aether Foundation disbanded and as a result, so did Team Skull. Guzma and Wicke are on the ground with the protagonist, which makes me think that they have now sided with them. However, it seems Faba...

News Japan's SM3+ Set: 'Shining Legends!'

So far: Keldeo: Keldeo is a great non-GX/EX attacker in Water decks! Same attack as Entei (Ancient Origins 14). With Aqua Patch around, two Water is quite easy to get out and is especially powerful when people are jamming up their bench with Tapu Lele-GX, Brigette, and Pokémon Fan Club...

Discussion What Pokémon Do You Want to See as a GX, and Why?

Alolan Exeggutor-GX (hopefully Grass type!) Alolan Exeggutor is one of my favorite of the Alolan Formes, Exeggutor already being one of my favorites on top of that. Exeggutor has never really had a super playable card in the past other than Delta Species Exeggutor (EX Holon Phantoms 41), so I...

News Japan's SM3 Sets for the 20th Movie Feature Ho-Oh and Necrozma!

After many formats of Lysandre and Pokemon Catcher, I think that Guzma is a good balance. Lysandre was able to swing games drastically at times because of its single dragging factor. Guzma just means that you, as a player, have to play smarter and be able to switch into what you need.

News Japan's SM3 Sets for the 20th Movie Feature Ho-Oh and Necrozma!

As of now, this looks promising at the 1 tournament where this (Noivern-GX) and DDE will be legal in Standard at the same time, but even more expanded. Not having DDE will be a problem, but there is a possibility that TPCi will reprint it.

News Japan's SM3 Sets for the 20th Movie Feature Ho-Oh and Necrozma!

You can attach a Float Stone, or use something like Switch or Escape Rope or Olympia. With Vileplume, this might be interesting because then the only outs your opponent has are Lysandre Stall, Olympia switch, or Hex Maniac into any item switch. I guess Ranger works as well.

News Japan's SM3 Sets for the 20th Movie Feature Ho-Oh and Necrozma!

Auto-Paralysis is always good. Might see a splash of play with Super Scoop Up coming in SM3 as well, but is fairly mediocre. LLC for 130 and 30 to itself is bad. 1 retreat on a bench sitter is not great either, but could still be toyed around with and might have a spot in a deck or 2. The art on...

News Summer 2017 'Island Guardians' Tins!

I see what you're saying. None of those cards, other than Jolteon-EX, got far above $10-$15 in price however. I think that they are making good decision making GOOD cards available as promo cards, but having AMAZING cards in boxes which well exceed $30+ in market price would be a bad idea.

News Summer 2017 'Island Guardians' Tins!

TPCi never really makes Tins/Boxes of cards that are worth a significant amount of money, and I doubt they ever will. It makes people want to keep buying packs from them so they can profit from sales of boxes and packs. Making a Lele box would drastically up the supply, so the Supply/Demand...

News Japan's SM3 Sets for the 20th Movie Feature Ho-Oh and Necrozma!

I think the other Alolan Grimer from SM1 is better. Not that it really matters, but if you ever are put in a situation where you have to attack with Grimer for some reason, poison is better than just searching out another Grimer. Most decks only play a 1-1 or a 2-2 line of Alolan Muk at most...

News Japan's SM3 Sets for the 20th Movie Feature Ho-Oh and Necrozma!

Might see play, as the old Gyarados did in the DP era. I believe the Full Retaliation Gyarados/Magma Base will be better until the end of the season, but in the 17-18 format this Gyarados might shine more.

Discussion Is Garbodor (GUR) the proof we won't get another Villeplume?

I think something that regulates how people play is something that is inevitable in almost every format and card game alike. Like stated before by other 'Beachers, the game has been going way too fast with cards like Shaymin-EX, Professor Sycamore, VS Seeker, Max Elixir and Trainers' Mail being...

News Japan's SM3 Sets for the 20th Movie Feature Ho-Oh and Necrozma!

I think that Super Scoop Up will help Tapu Koko-GX decks a lot. Max Potion, what everyone looked to immediately including myself, only heals the Tapu Koko's after they have been hit and switched out. The major flaw here is that now you have a perfectly healthy Koko, yes, but now it sits on your...

News Strengthening Expansion Pack, Best of XY Pack, and Ash VS Team Rocket Deck!

I can see this being played. AZ was sometimes used to pick up something that was heavily damaged and put it back down, but had to discard any tools or energy attached, like a Toad. You'd need another Toad with energy, or a replacement in your hand. With this, you don't. This will see a little...
