Help Rules question: cinccino's ability make do

You discard a card every time you use the ability. i.e. Once per round. The clue here is in the writing. "You must do X to use this ability". Compare that to an ability which reads "As long as this pokémon is in play, you may do X"

Standard Tapu Loco (Vikavolt/Tapu Koko variants)

Summary Strategy: Go second if possible. Try to achieve item lock on your first turn using Melody & a manual (L) attachment to charge up Vikavolt. Boost damage output with Zapdos & Choice Band. Limit opponent with item lock, hammers, and Path to the Peak. Pivot with Koko SSH. Kill Blisseys...

TPCi Files Exciting New Tech Patent for Tracking Cards During Gameplay!

It's a nice idea, but it does open up pretty big windows for new, different kinds of cheating. If the tags allow the commentators to know exactly where all cards are at all times - well then anyone who could gain access to that system will also have that knowledge. Your own upcoming draw, or...

    Standard Rat Trap (Delcatty/Omastar/Cradily/Kabutops)

Not your deck, but a template of the kind of counts I like to use in a fossil deck: https://www.pokebeach.com/forums/threads/krickets-kricketune-fossils.150738/ I have since dropped the fossil stadium count to three, and added one other stadium, and bumped the stadium nav count up by one...

    Discussion Blaziken DAA 024

The upcoming Leon supporter card could work here, but it is a Supporter, and takes away from using Welder etc. Maybe combining it with Lt Surge could be the ticket. (During this turn, your Pokémon's attacks do 30 more damage to your opponent's Active Pokémon (before applying Weakness and...

    Discussion Blaziken DAA 024

I have been tinkering with this card of late. It's got a great dual-typing for the current Standard meta as both Fire & Fighting - that hits Zacian, Pikarom, Eternatus, etc. for weakness. Thanks to it's attach effect, & the existing fire support, it streams pretty easily compared to most...

    Standard Rat Trap (Delcatty/Omastar/Cradily/Kabutops)

I do enjoy a good fossil deck. Have you considered a Tag engine - utilising Guzma/Hala TT, as a way to get the early stadium? Green's is great here right up until any piece of your lock comes out, then it's dead weight.

    Discussion Honchkrow GX combos

If nothing better presents itself, I'm always a fan of Ear-Ringing Bell. Adding confusion to the mix gives them one more hole they need to dig themselves out of. I know confusion is only a coinflip, but all they gotta do is miss one flip all match and it's been to your benefit.

    Discussion Honchkrow GX combos

I like the way you think, this is something I've pondered on for a while, although I've yet to find a successful version of anything. Obstagoon feels like the obvious way to go with this. Especially as the Galarian Linoone allows you to switch back into Honchkrow when you need. Might I suggest...

    Standard Krickets (Kricketune/Fossils)

This looks good. I'll give it a spin once I get my hands on some Butterfree. Switches, MallowTT, now Bird Keeper all definitely slow down the master plan. But most decks only have 3-4 of that type of card unless they are specifically built around some switching effect. Part of the beauty of...

Standard My decklist for 2021? (Garbodor Xatu)

Oooh, I forgot about Turbo patch. Although the catch then is that I run precious little basic energy. I do like the capture energy to get going, but maybe with Oricorio now I don't need the Draw so much. Highlight of my night here was struggling to get Garb out, but successfully using Life...

Standard My decklist for 2021? (Garbodor Xatu)

I just realised it's yourself in both the threads I've been keeping tabs on :D I added the Oricorio here, and it makes draw so bountiful to the point where I have nearly too many cards incoming. Doing that messed with the starting odds, plus there is an issue where - while it's easy to keep...

    Standard Krickets (Kricketune/Fossils)

Most of the cards are good, particularly the stuff you need to rush fossil mon set up early - the Lab & Stadium Nav, Guzma/Hala & tag whistle. The two biggest losses are Net Ball & Ditto Prism. Since rotation I've been using Cradily in a (baby) Venomoth deck. Get someone stuck in the active...

Standard My decklist for 2021? (Garbodor Xatu)

I have returned to this deck now that we've rotated - I've only played digitally mind you. It's great fun one-shotting big bad OP VMax mons. I've found keeping the flow of fresh pokes the most important thing. To that end, I went with Lucky Egg as tool of choice. Here's my current list, but...

Standard My decklist for 2021? (Garbodor Xatu)

I like the look of this deck. Spirit Tag or Counter Gain seems like the right tool for it. I am not sure of what is rotating so you'll have to check that yourself.

    Standard Krickets (Kricketune/Fossils)

My favourite card out of CEC hands down is Cradilly. I've tried out a lot of conditions decks to try make the most of him, but this is by far the most fun and winningest one I've managed to cobble together. Even in this Fire meta o.o Advice please, on how to make it a tad more consistent. It...

Apologies, I read that backwards with the edited post. @jamashawalker has a fair point though, GuzzNaga kills the Green engine as soon as it hits the bench.

    Standard TrevNoir

I'm not sure he is right. Guzznaga has 20 more HP, and is not weak to Fire. Which , meta-dependant, seems to be a bit more in vogue than Fairy right now. Plus you can search for it with the Mystery Treasure. Plus it has an attack you might use once in a blue moon whereas Buzzmola is pure bench...

Standard new player gearing up for cosmic eclipse

Any Mewtwo deck would be foolish to not add some Chaotic Swell stadia to combat all the Power Plants out there. With Keldeo & Dedenne both key parts of your deck, it just makes more and more sense. "When either player plays a new Stadium card from their hand to discard this Stadium card...
