I don't understand half of this because of all the Australian slang, but waterslides and having a barbecue sounds pretty fun! You guys are also lucky to be in summer right now. We're in winter here and it's cold. :/
Same Jesi. Weird thing is, we actually had a day in Geography where we had to write a Paragraph about something in Australian Slang, and I think I only got a 70 on it. :/
AUSSIE SLANG 101 ------------------------- arvo = afternoon snags = sausages barbie = BBQ blazin' = great
Alright, thanks. Now I get it. Arvo is such a weird word for afternoon, in my opinion. It sounds like something you'd say to refer to an automobile, not the time of day.
But Aussie slang does sound civilised! Also "arvo" is just the first three sounds of "afternoon" with an "o" on the end. :U
I'll try tomorrow arvo to make my slang use blazin'. Though I doubt I can use the barbie with all this snow outside to cook some snags... ;(
