I'm not using her husband, and I'm not sure Batman [Gerome] would help. Funny how I can get Owain, who I'm not using, no problem but I can't get Severa, Batman, OR Laurent?

Gerome isn't really of any help in the chapter you recruit him in, since most of your units should be stronger by then.
I had trouble with Severa too x.x Sometimes I miss how in past FE titles you could 'Rescue' units to keep them safe so they survive the chapter. I've never gotten to Laurent (I don't even remember who his mother is, but I think it's that woman of the big hat, her name is escaping me atm)

It's Miriel, and she's one of my favourite units. Unpopular opinion, but I can't stand Tharja. I felt like I was always relying on crits to one-shot people.
That way they're safe :V
