Ruling Counter Energy Question

I was just playing PTCGO and it let my opponent use a counter energy when we both had 6 prizes, and the attack costed 3 fighting, and he had one fighting and the counter energy, and it kinda confused me when we both had 6 prizes, and the card says, "when you have MORE prizes than your opponent". I was unaware that you could do that, and I was wondering if it says it in the rulebook, if someone knows that this is in the book, could you possibly tell me what page? THANKS A BUNCH!!!

You can use counter energy regardless of how many prizes you have.

However, if the player using it has more prize cards left than the opponent, it provides a double rainbow energy. Else, it provides a single Colorless Energy

Yeah, but my opponent had out a Lucario with Stance and Submarine Blow and he had one fighting energy and the counter energy, and we both had 6 prizes, and it let him use Submarine Blow on turn 2

PTCGO is not a rules source. It is full of bugs and errors (like this one)
