Discussion Rare candy viability

Not really. The only Stage 2 decks worth a damn are Greninja and Serperior, and both of those have specific methods of streaming their Stage 2 that make them viable (Frogadier and Forest of Giant Plants, respectively).

Garchomp uses Rare Candy but it's not as good as it once was, with Korrina rotated. Lightning decks that use Magnezone will use Rare Candy and that's probably the best use you're going to get out of it. Stage 2 cards are just bad in general, which is why Rare Candy is never seen. Allowing us to use it on a Pokemon the first turn it comes into play will go a long way in increasing its viability.

Moved to the TCG Competitive Play forum, as this is a question about competitive viability, as opposed to a ruling.
