I've been drawing since I was very little (about 3 or 4, I'd say), and started with dinosaurs, then moved on to all types of art. I'd have to say practice is important, but I'm very sure people already know that. xD Just keep on drawing, and sketch often. Drawing from life and imagination is important, but drawing from life helps more. (Draw people, birds, etc. It'll help in your other drawings, as well.)

I use custom poses. I normally try not to draw poses others have used, but with some Pokémon it's pose it already so nice (Arceus' sprite's pose, for example).

I use Jasc Paint Shop Pro for the Sugimori-like style (Charizard, Mew, Tyranitar) and Adobe Photoshop for the more complex colorations (Dusknoir, Darkrai, Phione).

Which ones do you want to use?

And to Water Rayquaza: If I ever get around to Rayquaza, I'll make an avatar.

And to shaymin of the heart: If I ever make Celebi art, I'll make it into an avatar, as well.

And to Bob Marley: I don't really have time right now, but I do draw people (I draw portraits of friends), so if I ever get some time, I'll see what I can do.
