Black Market Prism Star, Spiritomb, Zoroark from ‘Dark Order!’

Black Market Prism Star, Spiritomb, and Zoroark been revealed from Dark Order, which will release on October 5th in Japan. The cards will be combined into our SM9 set in February.

The cards were revealed during the official livestream for Japan’s Champions League 2019 tournament.

Spiritomb – Darkness – HP70
Basic Pokemon

[C] Soul Compressor: Search your deck for up to 4 Pokemon and discard them. Then, shuffle your deck.

[C] Hollow Shot: 20 damage.

Weakness: none
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1

Zoroark – Darkness – HP110
Stage 1 – Evolves from Zorua

[D] Taunt: Switch 1 of your opponent’s Benched Pokemon with their Active Pokemon.

[D][C][C] Night Punish: 20x damage. This attack does 20 damage times the number of Pokemon in your discard pile, to a maximum of 10 cards.

Weakness: Fighting (x2)
Resistance: Psychic (-20)
Retreat: 2

Black Market – Trainer
Stadium

You can’t have more than 1 Prism Star card with the same name in your deck. If a Prism Star card would go to the discard pile, put it in the Lost Zone instead.

Whenever either player’s [D] Pokemon with [D] Energy attached to it is Knocked Out by damage from an opponent’s attack, the opponent takes 1 less Prize card.

As long as this Stadium is in play, whenever a player uses an Item or Supporter card from their hand, prevent all effects of those cards done to this Stadium.

This card stays in play when you play it. Discard this card if another Stadium card comes into play. If another card with the same name is in play, you can’t play this card.

Thanks goes to Bangiras for the translation!

This Spiritomb plus Lost Thunder Giratina and Confagrius.

80 damage to the bench by turn 2 before attacking.

    Nasty hat!

Sableye / Garb is going to have several problems after Lost Thunder. Black Market Prism Star won’t make it broken, but will make things annoying (maybe impossible) late game if you can mill their other stadiums. It’s definitely something it should use to help it out because Faba and Girafarig are problems.

Zoroark looks decent. Could see him work well with Umbreon in a non-GX deck.

The "Black Market" (Probably will be a different name in English) is not as good as people think. The reason is that one can counter it by playing another stadium - and once it is gone, it is gone.

Unlike the other prism stadiums, there is no immediate benefit on the turn of playing it: The benefit can only work if, on the opponent's turn, your opponent fails to remove it - Which is pretty difficult to stop unless you make them play all their stadiums beforehand.

They are definitely trying to give dark decks a lot of more "tricky" options to build decks, which of course fits the dark type perception. Very curious what other things Pokemon has planned for this set, but not looking forward to this new Zoroark being paired with its brother Gx to do up 200+ damage.

Night march vespiqueen Zoroark = the craziest deck in the expanded format. Though on a serious note that would be a pretty powerful deck.

Interesting that we won’t be getting either Weavile or Darkrai in Dark Order, since those are generally regarded as quintessential Dark-type Pokemon, but...hooray for diversity?
