‘Explosive Impact,’ ‘Dark Order,’ ‘GX Ultra Shiny’ Teaser Info Released!

We now have teaser information about the next three Japanese sets! This information was released to hobby stores in Japan over the past few days to encourage preorders.

SM8 Explosive Impact‘s booster box promo will be a Professor Elm’s Lecture card. Unconfirmed rumors on Japanese boards this past week allege the card allows you to search your deck for three Pokemon with 60 HP or less and put them into your hand. The set releases September 7th.

SM8b Dark Order, releasing October 5th, will feature a new Hoopa-GX, Ampharos-GX, Absol, and an Incineroar that is Darkness-type. The set will focus on Darkness-, Metal-, and Lightning-type Pokemon. Update: The booster box promo will be Nanu, the Dark-type Island Kahuna.

GX Ultra Shiny, releasing November 2nd, will include reprints of Zoroark-GX, Tapu Lele-GX, Buzzwole-GX, and Zygarde-GX. It will also feature Shiny-colored Pokemon (dur), but we don’t know how they’ll appear in the set.

Tapu Lele-GX’s legality will reset in Japan because of its new appearance in GX Ultra Shiny. This means our Tapu Lele-GX promo could be a brand new promo, not just an “A” alternate art reprint. This isn’t confirmed though, it’s just an educated guess; TPCi may choose to keep our card legalities separate from Japan’s (although that would suck since we’ll soon have the exact same formats).

Thanks goes to Bangiras for the translations!

Update #2: We now have the card text for both Nanu and Professor Elm’s Lecture.
