SM6 ‘Forbidden Light’ Cards + SM6A/6B Pack Artwork!

The official Japanese site just updated with new cards from SM6 Forbidden Light! The set will release in Japan on March 2nd. Thanks goes to Gundambot1 and Jake C. for the translations!

Malamar – Psychic – HP90
Stage 1 – Evolves from Inkay

Ability: Psycho Recharge
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may attach a [P] Energy card from your discard pile to 1 of your Benched Pokemon.

[P][P][C] Psy Missile: 60 damage.

Weakness: Psychic (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 2

Zygarde-GX – Fighting – HP200
Basic Pokemon

[C][C] Cell Connector: 50 damage. Attach 2 [F] Energy from your discard pile to this Pokemon.

[F][F][C][C] Land’s Wrath: 130 damage.

[F][F][C][C] Judgment GX: 150 damage. During your opponent’s next turn, this Pokemon takes no damage from the attacks of your opponent’s Pokemon-GX and Pokemon-EX. (You can’t use more than 1 GX attack in a game.)

When your Pokemon-GX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Weakness: Grass (x2)
Resistance: None
Retreat: 3

Diancie Prism Star – Fighting – HP120
Basic Pokemon

You can’t have more than 1 Prism Star card with the same name in your deck. If a Prism Star card would go to the discard pile, put it in the Lost Zone instead.

Ability: Princess Veil
If this Pokemon is on your Bench, your [F] Pokemon’s attacks do 20 more damage to your opponent’s Active Pokemon.

[F][F][F] Diamond Rain: 90 damage. Heal 30 damage from each of your Benched Pokemon.

Weakness: Grass (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 2

Bonnie – Trainer
Supporter

You can only play this card if there is a Stadium card in play.

Discard a Stadium in play. During this turn, your Zygarde-GX may use its GX attack even if you have already used a GX attack this game.

You can play only 1 Supporter card during your turn (before your attack).

Lysandre Prism Star – Trainer
Supporter

You can’t have more than 1 Prism Star card with the same name in your deck. If a Prism Star card would go to the discard pile, put it in the Lost Zone instead.

For each of your [R] Pokemon in play, put the same number of cards from your opponent’s discard pile into their Lost Zone.

You can play only 1 Supporter card during your turn (before your attack).

The Noibat line, Fennekin line, and Helioptile line will also be in the set, but we can’t read the cards because they’re covered:

An Alolan Exeggutor promo will be given to fans who purchase a booster box of the set from participating retailers:

Alolan Exeggutor – Grass – HP160
Stage 1 – Evolves from Exeggcute

[G] Tropical Shake: 20+ damage. This attack does 20 more damage for each type of Basic Energy card in your discard pile (up to 5).

Weakness: Fire (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 3

The booster packs for SM6A Dragon Storm (releasing April 6th) and SM6B Champion’s Road (releasing May 3rd) were officially revealed.

It appears Champion’s Road will feature Pokemon from the first three generations: Electrode, Mr. Mime, Articuno, Feraligatr, Dunsparce, Scizor, Blaziken, Slaking, Ludicolo, Banette, and Salamence.

And finally, here’s some sleeves and deck boxes that will be released in the coming months:

Lysandre Prism further strengthens my theory that the Lost Zone will be important soon. I also dig the art on it.

The Lysandre sleeves look cool, too.

Lysandre Prism looks soooo good, can't wait to throw that in my Volc list.
Zygarde-GX is alright, Bonnie is alright, Diancie is nifty, and Psychic energy acceleration finally! (One of my friends was talking about Psychic-type Dynamotor recently too, lmao.)

I am glad there is yet another counter to Night March. That being said, I am gonna need to worry about my Energy being rocketed out with Lysander ◊. I am still holding hope for Xerneas-GX, even though Diance got turned to a Fighting-type.

I might look at running Malamar if and when they release Psychic-type Tapu Lele.

    Magic terms:
For each of your red creatures in play, exile a card from your opponents graveyard. Exile Lysandre.

Artwork looks really good for Zygarde Gx but, does this mean that Bonnie/Zygarde Gx becomes the new meta for stall/mill decks, sounds fun, not.

Lysandre will make its way into use just as Cyrus will.

That Lysandre looks promising, and Zygarde will go well with Bonnie. In expanded you could have Sky field for a big bench and then play 4 Bonnies over four turns. Still don't get the point of the other two sets, Dragons storm and Champions road though.

I really like Malamar. Will do all Necrozmas (except Dusk Mane) a ton of good.
    Bonnie - I actually don't mind repeating THAT GX-attack
Dianice - Post-rotation booster for Buzzwoles and other fighting-types. Too bad that Guzma-KO destroys this permanently

Diancie and Malamar are both super cool, but my heart belongs to that Alolan Exeggutor and its stupid attack. Single prize attackers with cheap attacks that two-shot everything are great. Maybe with Leafeon-GX and Promo Lurantis.

Now we have a Psychic rendition of Eelz/Bronzong... Just watch this Malamar be paired with Ultra and Normal Necrozma-GX, as well as all sorts of awesome energy acceleration strategies. Bronzong was so fun in standard while it was legal, and this one should be fun, too!

Can't wait to drop this Lysandre into an expanded Fire deck to kill them Night March/Vespiquen decks.

Malamar is the new Bronzong, I guess. I think we can safely call a deck that involves Malamar "x + squids" in the same way we called anything that had Eelektrik in it "x + eels".

Zygarde GX is a good mid/late game addition to Buzzwole I guess. Shame it can't accelerate Strong Energy into itself though, but at least it can use a DCE attachment. The lore for its GX attack should read "Prevent all damage, done to this Pokémon from your opponent's Pokémon EX and Pokémon GX during your opponent's next turn," adapted from Toxapex GX's Total Shelter.
