Japan’s SM6a Set ‘Dragon Storm,’ Plus ‘Champion Road’ Mini-Set! By: Water Pokémon Master Posted 5 months ago to TCG 38 comments Japan’s SM6a set will be named Dragon Storm and will hit store shelves on April 6th! The set will contain 53 cards, excluding any secret rares. Although the text on the booster pack is hard to read, it appears the set will focus on Fire, Water, and Dragon-type Pokemon judging by their symbols on the bottom of the booster pack. The booster pack image appears to be final and shows Dragonite, Drampa, and White Kyurem will be featured in the set. The set appears to have a set code of “6a” rather than “6+,” which may mean it’s a regular mini-set rather than featuring a bunch of reprints like other SM+ sets. The set also won’t feature every card as a reverse holo like SM+ sets, which may be another clue that it will feature new cards. (They print the SM+ sets as reverse holos to make them more “unique,” as in, to give people a reason to buy them. Which isn’t necessary if a set features new cards.) But that’s not it for new sets! On May 3rd, Japan will also get a Champion Road mini-set. Nothing is known about this set other than it will contain 66 cards and include Blaziken, Feraligatr, and Scizor cards. As posted a few weeks ago, Japan’s SM6 set is named Forbidden Light and will be released on March 2nd. It will feature Zygarde.
Yes, so they would have to add a errata to every dragon type to make all of it's non-colorless energy costs dragon energy.
I think they should rearrange the weakness/resistance combinations for the majority of cards. Like making dragons weak to dragons again, and then give them a resistance based on that specific dragons typing. Making fairy resistant to dragon(I know in-game it is null) or changenit up so some are resistant to fighting. Make some fire cards resist fairy! It'd be really interesting if cards all had semi random selection for weakness/resistance. Like 2 garchomp cards from the same set but weak to different types. But that would propbably be really expensive to pull off.
This set could bring DDE back though, who knows if it does come back, I'm calling a Dragon type VS Steel type meta.
PLEASE HAVE DOUBLE DRAGON ENERGY! PLEASE HAVE DOUBLE DRAGON ENERGY! PLEASE HAVE DOUBLE DRAGON ENERGY! PLEASE HAVE DOUBLE DRAGON ENERGY! PLEASE HAVE DOUBLE DRAGON ENERGY! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE!!
Blaziken although initially revealed at the end of the Gen II anime is still technically a Gen III Pokemon with my boi Sceptile.
I think ist unlikely they Reprint a DDE or even print a new "Dragon Energy". ALl of the new Dragon types only Need one type of energy instead of two different ones. So a "Single Dragon Energy" wouldn`t make sense and DDE could be too OP for things like Dialga etc... just my two cents
I hope they make the dragon cards viable, dragon been bad now since giratina ex (you can consider rayqueza as dragon but it is normal type right)
A new story has just been posted to PokéBeach's front page: Dragonite-GX, Reshiram-GX, Salamence-GX, Articuno-GX in Upcoming SM6 Sets! Posts you make after this point will immediately appear on the front page and vice versa. Discuss!
From the looks of it, both Salamence and Articuno have abilities, let's hope their good. Especially Salamence.
