Registration for Worlds Spectator Badges, Anaheim Open Now Up!

Pokemon.com has just updated with links to register for Worlds 2017 spectator badges and the Anaheim Open tournament!

You will need a spectator badge to enter the venue, participate in its events, and play in the Anaheim Open. You will not need a spectator badge for the Pokemon Center store.

Spectator badges cost $10 for those ages 6 and older and include a lanyard, a badge, and two Pokemon TCG booster packs. Children under 6 will be able to obtain wristbands at the event itself for free.

Registration for the Anaheim Open is $30 for Masters Division players and $15 for Senior and Junior Division players.

Worlds will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA from Friday, August 18th through Sunday, August 20th. You can read more info about the event in this news post.

See you all there! Be sure to say hi! :)

If I'm remembering correctly last year they didnt have spectator badges avaible to the general public. If so I'm guessing the Pokemon go hype dropping to just the real Pokemon fans might have something to do with it going back to the old ways.

Super excited to see all the battles taking place, with it also being the last major tournament before the rotation, also super excited to see what decks will revolve around cards from burning shadows. Unfortunately, my moms exact words, keep dreaming.

Missed masters sign up for tcg anaheim open, any opinions on whether it's possible to get one of the second half seats? Since unlike this one those signups already have a set release time.

edit: Also, do you guys think the second half seats will also use the same link?

Agh, really wish I could attend one of these sometime, but I don't have the money or the time to attend an event roughly 2200 miles away from me this time around. Bet it'd be really fun though. Maybe if next year they host it somewhere closer to me.

If only I lived in arizona with my relatives... Then I could have a chance at going to one of these cuz im sooo close(not really though).

Thank goodness I am not a part of the masters division... $30 is too much for me lol

Should be the same as other regionals? I'd need to look, but the info page on the main site pretty much said it's being treated as regionals so that's my guess.

So depressing that registration got filled so quickly. By the time I found out about it after work, it had been closed. Hey, some of us have to work and can't be constantly checking Pokebeach. Our family and friends live in the area and were looking forward to it and only my youngest kid got in. I am skeptical that the 2nd half of the registration spots will be able to satisfy the the apparently very large amount of people who want to play. I hope they expand the tournament seats. Here's for hoping...

Yeah, I realize it's not Pokebeach's fault. It's just a shame that registration was more like a lottery where the winners were those who were online at the right time. I like when Pokemon tries to be as inclusive as possible for "open" events. At its heart, it's a family game.
