Live ‘Pokemon Sunday’ Coverage: Done!

Pokemon Sunday has just finished airing and our live coverage is now over. As expected, the show revealed HeartGold and SoulSilver, displaying their logos on a large poster board. When the gold and silver party balls broke open, a banner rolled down announcing the games would be released this upcoming fall, which we already knew. Next, the hostess revealed Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile, followed by a small clip of the game. The clip showed Gold walking around Newbark Town with his new Chikorita, which follows him like Pikachu in Pokemon Yellow and Pokemon in Amity Square. His rival is also seen looking through Professor Elm’s lab window, just like in the original Gold and Silver. You can see screenshots of the starters with their new Ken Sugimori artwork below, as well as screenshots of the updated Newbark Town (click them for larger pictures).
